Aight kiddies. This page is not for you Puffy jocking, Mase lyrics reciting, No Limit medallion rocking, Juvenile blasting, "yo, when does that new Tear The Club Up Thugs Compilation Album come out" asking meatbeaters. Oh yeah......and all you kids that claim to be real hip hop heads but then are the first ones in the store to get your copy of Trick Daddy Dollaz new LP, EAT A VEINY ONE!!!!! Thank you for your attention. I would just like to inform people that the afore mentioned "artists" are in no way, shape, or form to be considered hip hop. They are what the media calls "rap singers". AND NOW BACK TO YOUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED PROGRAM...........
Yoooooooo..........has anybody else noticed how fresh the Defari tape was?? I don't know if it was just me, but the beats on there were EXTREMELY dope. I don't mean to brag, but Evidence and E Swift agreed to produce my demo for free.....don't start jocking me now, suckaz.
In all honesty......I have to admit a couple of things. One of them is I DO own a copy of the Paperboy "Ditty" single, although its mainly used to make my desk level in my room. I do occasionally watch MTV to see what new idea Master P has come up with to make even MORE money. Its hard to believe that he used to be poor or whatever he says he used to be. The last thing is someday I would like to own my own label or at least be a fresh DJ so my FLY wifey can wear a shirt that says "I'm married to the DJ!!".
werdlife, gawd...
In light of all the dope tapes that have been released lately, I thought it would be kinda dope of I gave my own reviews of the things I heard. If you have any problems or qualms with MY reviews, leave this site or sign off and go cry to your mother. But anyway, now the fun begins...........
Things Fall Apart by The Roots- Well, as most of you goons know, The Roots are one of the dopest, most creative groups in a while. This LP is probably their second best release, second only to Do You Want More???. A much improved Malik B. pulls hype man duties to Black Thought. I don't know if you kids remember Dice Raw from Clones, but he's back and fresher on the mic. To me, one of the dopest songs on the LP is 100% Dundee. That beat is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO addictive, yo. Makes you wonder what else The Roots have in store for us on future releases. Peace to Rahzel for the beatbox bass on the beat. Then comes the traditional Philly posse cut, called Adrenyline. It features Black Thought, Dice Raw, Malik B., and yes...some dood by the name of Beenie Siegal. Yes yes y'all, that same cat signed to Rock-a-fella from Philly. His flow is different from the others, which brings some nice variety so an already dope track. Let's just hope that The Roots can keep it coming more and more dope every time around.
Focused Daily by Defari Heirut- Ooooooooooooooooooooooooh yes, the Likwit Crew does it again. First it was King Tee, then the Liks, then Xzibit.....now Defari. This Likwit Family member has a couple of hits under his belt already. Bionic was FRESH, then the Bionic remix came even better. Then he put out Focused Daily as a single, which was fresh. Now his LP finally hits stores. With production by Alchemist, Cut Chemist, Evidence from Dialated Peoples, and also E Swift from the Liks. Production is MAD FRESH on here. What would a Likwit Family tape be without some guest appearances from the fam?? Likwit Connection stars Defari, The Liks, and Phil Da Agony of the Barbershop MCs. This song is nice. My favorite verse of this song comes from Tash who is dope as usual. I'm also feeling how this is one of those rare tapes when you can rock the whole thing without fast forwarding.
The Slim Shady LP by Eminem- All I have to say is congradulations to Mr. Marshall Mathers on his record deal with Aftermath. I'm sure Dr. Dre will take care of him. Now that Eminem has been exposed to the mainstream and has a video on MTV, I have noticed how many kids jock him. I mean come on, this really isn't necesarry. RIP Eminem that was OH SO DOPE on 5 Star Generals. Hello Eminem the Great White Hype. There is nothing to really say about this LP. I've heard almost every song on here before on the EP, the only new additions are a couple produced by Dre. I wish I would have saved my money and bought something dope.
Prince Among Thieves by Prince Paul- Ummmmmm, I have absolutely NOTHING to say about this LP. Just look at the title of it and you SHALL know its greatness. Buy and you shall experience an LP SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO rare and dope that it only comes around like once a decade. TOO dope for words. I'm speachless. Maybe after I regain my composure, I'll be able to give a review for this.
Warzone by Black Moon- Remember Enta Da Stage? That LP was pure dopeness. Warzone, is shall we say, average. There are a few songs on there that sound like they could be unreleased tracks from Enta, but the others sound like BM just threw them together. The track Warzone is fresh. The beat sounds like classic Black Moon, with an added MUCH MUCH MUUCH improved 5ft. He's still on the wack side, but this is better than what he used to be. Another track that stands out is 2 Turntables and a Mic. CLASSIC CLASSIC Black Moon, this track is the closest thing to Buck Em Down 99. I'm feelin the beat to Freestyle. Its MAD flavaz. All in all, this LP wasn't a total flop. Maybe everyone in the Camp should just go back to first LP status. If it were only that simple.......................
Not like you goons care or anything, but i'll try to update this page whenever i get time.
